In honor of High'rd Help's season two premiere we'd like to give them a big shout out in this week's #TBT piece!
From the minds of Olivia D'Agostino and Emily Neiman, comes High'rd Help, a web series about Ava (Carina Newton) her case of awkward rambling/bad luck and her guardian angel Charlie (Mara Goldbloom).
The 22-episode first season is quick paced with episodes ranging from two to three minutes. I particularly am a fan of the shorter episodes, they're quick, funny and I find myself being able to retain more with the shorter medium and makes for great binging!
It takes awhile for Ava to realize that Charlie is in fact a guardian angel. She tries to get her friends Clooney (Drew Doyle) and Billy (Ellie Mamatis) on board but they just think their friend's going through some sort of crisis. Pretty early on we find out that Charlie passed away some time ago and wasn't exactly the best person so becoming Ava's guardian angel is her way for making up for it. We quickly learn that she's there for a specific reason - to help Ava overcome this awkward rambling phase and help her with Jane Dawson (Krystle Ferdinand).
So who is this Jane Dawson? Why can't Ava just get rid of Charlie? Why did Charlie say she's in limbo? So many questions and so many answers to be found by watching the first season!
I don't want to give too much away, but there's definitely some LGBTQ loving and a whole lot of laughs. If you're new to the series, let us know what you think! If you're not, give your brain a refresher before season two drops this coming Monday!
