With the new realization that William Ackerman is a potential suspect, Casey surprises no one in immediately jumping into research mode. We find out that William was the mystery person who suffered from a heart attack. It also was found that he was so distraught after his wife's murder at the Grantham House that he never recovered and completely withdrew from society and rarely allowed anyone to enter his home.
I think it's interesting to see the dynamic between Casey and Ellia at this point. While Casey is quick to call out William's guilt, Ellia's a bit more reserved and not entirely too sure it was William who murdered everyone. A few subtle touches from Casey go very much noticed by Ellia, while Jac sleeps off her injuries (poor girl) and then Casey's ramping up her next conclusion of why the house might be haunted. She believes that because of their untimely deaths, their souls are bound to Grantham and the only way to let them rest in peace is to set them free, but how will she ever do that?
Cue Ellia and her sarcastic idea of contacting the spirits to let them know they're there for help. Cut to a new angle (hooray) with Jac now fully conscious joined by the other girls sitting in a protected circle of salt. Jac still can't believe she gave into the hocus pocus but Casey shushes her as she starts her seance. It's quiet at first but soon whispers start to pick up. They get louder and louder, causing the girls to huddle up closer together. Suddenly a ghost (yep, a freaking ghost) shows up, dressed in what appears to be a maid's outfit and says, "It isn't William," while she points towards the clue board.
Who the hell was she pointing to?! Was that Elizabeth?! So many questions, such little episodes left and hopefully Jac's convinced by now! Stay tuned!
