What? Teenagers

Who? Created, written, directed and edited by M.H. Murray. Co-created by Sara Tamosauskas. Starring: Chloe Rose, Emmanuel Kabongo, Allyson Pratt, Dana Jeffrey, Shailene Garnett, Matilda Davidson, Jordan Johnson-Hinds, Cleo Tellier, Adam Murciano, Garrett Hnatiuk and Raymond Ablack.

Why Should I Watch? The first thing that came to mind after watching this series was diversity. Followed by holy crap this writing is amazing and look how great these actors are! It's fairly obvious from the get go that music is a key element in the series, really setting the tone for every scene and if you're a movie buff, you'll see how Murray weaves in character traits and themes from John Hughes' film The Breakfast Club.

In just two seasons the amount of character development is something you can't miss. Murray perfectly captures teenage relationships, highlighting the angst and fluff that comes with it. But it isn't just romantic relationships being highlighted in the series as audiences get a look into most of the core characters' family life.

A few storylines that really stand out are T's (Kabongo) who gets caught in the crossfire of drama after falling for a girl, Bree's (Rose) who struggles with finding the perfect suitor while dealing with an alcoholic mother and Sara's (Pratt) who finally comes to terms with her sexuality after falling way too deep in love with her best friend. I really don't want to spoil this series too much for those who haven't seen it, but I honestly can't say enough how amazing it is and it's no question as to why it's an award-winning series.

After completing a successful crowdfunding campaign, the cast and crew are gearing up for a third season! The series has also released a 20-minute Prologue to give audiences an idea of what's next for their beloved characters.
